How did you start a career in tech?
Computers have been present in my life since I was a child. My first computer was an MSX in the 80's and I can remember a BASIC book that came with it. I really liked to see the BASIC programs in action and discovered the magic of watching coloured circles on the TV, so when I had to decide what I was going to study, it was clear.
I was awarded a degree as a Technical Engineer in 2006, and have since been working with various technologies. I started working with Java in 2006 and then continued working with it until I met Drupal in 2012. When I started to work with Drupal, I was conscious of the big challenge of moving to a totally different technology, but very quickly found my way. I really like web technologies. They're funny!
What inspires Luis in his professional life?
I take my inspiration from the people I work with. Usually, there are developers in your team with years of experience that can be shared with you because you're sharing the same problem to solve. For me, the best opportunity to learn is working with real experiences.
What do you like most about working for Code Enigma?
If I have to give only one answer I'll say "everything". I like working for Code Enigma because everything is done for a reason and each person is responsible for what they have to do. Everyone is completely involved in the project and the company. That makes us better. As individuals and as a great team.
